With great sadness, we announce that Gene George has passed away on Jun 20, 2020. Gene was the current President of our model club, avid hobbyist and active member of the Washington County Model Aviation Association.
Gene will be greatly missed as an early morning flyer, enthusiast, and promoter of model aviation. He has help many become interested in the hobby and learn to fly.
Gene, we know you are now watching over us from the tree line. Thank you for your service to your family, country and to our club.
Fellow flyer Theodore J. “Ted” Sworcheck passed peacefully on May 27, 2022. Ted was an avid sport flyer and had a hanger full of planes. Despite some serious health problems, Ted loved flying and did so as long as he was able
Besides being a member of our Washington County Model Aviation Association, he was a member of Brodacks Model Aviation, a Sultans Car Club member, and a life member of the Falcon Archers. He also served proudly in the United States Army.
We extend our condolences to Ted’s wife, Rebecca, and all his children. Ted’s smile and easygoing manner will be missed by all. Fly high, my friend.
